The Tale of Christopher Windelrap

 By JP Perumba de Puthenveetil

On every second month of every second year

Christopher Windelrap does a little dance

The dance he does is unlike any jig you ever did see

It starts with a jump, then a hop, then a skiddley diddley pop

But Chris can’t jump without his pop’n powder, no sir

So on every second month of every second year

Chris goes to the local pop’n powder store

So he can do the jump, hop, and skiddley diddley pop

But Chris can’t buy this powder with his pocket paper

No, Chris must buy the powder with something much simpler

A smile

But on every second month of every second year

Christopher Windelrap does a little dance

So that he can smile

He can’t smile before that

Looks like Chris is having a conundrum

Christopher Windelrap needs to flash a smile

To get the pop’n powder

So that he can do the jump, hop, and skiddley diddley pop

On every second month of every second year

But Christopher Windelrap can’t even muster up a smirk

Without doing the jump, hop, and skiddley diddley pop in the first place

On every second month of every second year

This is why on every second month of every second year

Christopher Windelrap is sad
